Corrupt TIFF files in XP SP3

Microsoft confirmed that Windows XP SP3 has a few problems on Windows applications Picture Fax Viewer. This application will create images in TIFF format corrupt, if the image is rotated clockwise or counterclockwise to clockwise.
Microsoft explained that Windows Picture and Fax Viewer using the output TIFF file compression format CCITT (International Telegraph and Telephone Consultative Committee) Group 3 encoding 1D. Therefore, when the user opens the file format TIFF with CCITT Group 3 encoding 2D, the image file will corrupt.
