Solid State Drive (SSD) Micron RealSSD C300

Recently, Micron introduced its solid state drive (SSD) latest, namely Micron RealSSD C300. The specialty of this Micron RealSSD C300 other than SSD using SATA interface, this product is the first time using SATA interface 6GB / s.

SATA interface used 6 Gb / s on Micron RealSSD C300 allows to produce performance much higher. Specifications read speed up to 355 MB / s and write speed up to 215 MB / s. In addition to using the interface SATA 6 Gb / s, high performance is also supported by using multi-level cell (MLC) NAND flash memory technology, manufactured with 34 nm manufacturing process. whereas for the controllers, SSD ONFI 2.1 is to use synchronous high speed NAND.

Micron RealSSD samples C300 is now available in a limited number of packages and for certain circles. SSD will be available with the form factor 1.8 and 2.5 inches with a choice of 128 GB and 256 GB. This product is scheduled to be available in the market in the first quarter of 2010.
